Clara Stein

Hello! I’m Clara. I’m a Psychology PhD researcher at University College Dublin and an Irish Research Council Scholar. Before beginning the PhD journey in September 2022, I completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh and a master’s degree in Behavioural Neuroscience at University College Dublin.

I’m really interested in cognitive reserve and cognitive functioning in multiple sclerosis, and beyond. In particular, I investigate how education, occupation, and everyday activities may have protective outcomes for cognitive abilities, like processing information or memory.

When I’m not doing or writing about research, you’ll find me out on a walk in nature, exploring around Dublin, or having a cup of coffee or tea with family and friends, depending on the Irish weather.
