Paul Gorczynski

My name is Paul Gorczynski. I am a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. I chair the London-Bloomsbury Research Ethics Committee for the Health Research Authority. I lecture and conduct research in the areas of sport and exercise psychology, performance, mental health, ethics, and cultural psychology. I have consulted on mental health promotion in elite sport for several national and international sporting organizations, including the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences and the International Olympic Committee. Most recently, I advised the Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Colombia on mental health literacy in elite sport. My work in mental health promotion has also extended to consulting within higher education, including the Westminster Higher Education Forum, and in areas of mental health service delivery policy for LGBTQ+ people. At the moment, I serve as a Parliamentary Fellow with the Women and Equalities Select Committee in UK Parliament.
