Owen Jones

Hi, I’m Owen. I am an MSc Neuroscience Student at King’s College London. I studied Psychology at the University of Liverpool and graduated in 2020. I had the opportunity to conduct research on experiences of psychosis and dissociation in the general population and its associations with trauma during my undergraduate. This continues to be an interest of mine, particularly inspired by The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk. I am particularly interested in integrating biological theories of mental health with social or environmental theories. I have lived experience with post-traumatic stress, which although I was aware of, ironically was not recognised until after I spent some time on the academic side of traumatic stress. My attempts to bring my dog into my profile picture did not go as planned, unfortunately.
