About
I am an undergraduate (almost graduate!) Neuroscience student at King’s College London. I have had the opportunity to come into contact with the SPI Lab through my final year dissertation project, where I studied the effects of cytokine Interferon Alpha on the birth of new brain cells in the context of depression.
In the future, I aim to keep contributing to scientific research regarding the neurobiological processes at the basis of psychiatric disorders. Due to my personal experience in close contact with sufferers of mental illness, I am also very outspoken about breaking down mental health stigma present in today’s society.
As one of my side passions has always been to write, I hope to transmit my interest and love for the topics tackled in this blog to all readers. In this way, I wish to continue to highlight the importance of our research!
