About
I am a researcher and PhD candidate working in the Stress, Psychiatry and Immunology (SPI) Lab at King’s College London’s, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience and Deputy Editor of InSPIre the Mind. My current PhD research examines the associations between modifiable health behaviours, such as diet, and their associations with mental health in children and adolescents. I'm particularly interested in advances in the field of nutritional psychiatry and understanding the mechanisms, at the level of the body and the brain, underlying the effect of nutrition on mental health especially in the crucial early years.
I am also passionate about the public communication of relevant and accurate scientific research - through communication and translation there can be change! My role as Deputy Editor of InSPIre the Mind provides a fantastic opportunity to help other scientists share their work and facilitate the crucial mental health conversation to ensure that it remains forefront and considered.
