Naoise Giollabhui

Naoise Mac Giollabhui is completing his clinical psychology Ph.D. at Temple University and will be starting at the Depression Clinical & Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital as a Postdoctoral Fellow.

His research seeks to understand why cognitive functioning is disrupted (e.g., attention, memory, and executive functioning) during a depressive episode and why these cognitive difficulties persist in remitted depression. In particular, his work focuses on the role that the immune system plays in the etiology of depression and cognitive dysfunction. He is increasingly interested in identifying treatments for this debilitating symptom of depression.
