About
Carla McCannon is from London and grew up for eight years in France. She studied Film and English at UEA in Norwich and subsequently worked in the film industry in London for five years. She has spent the last fifteen years traveling and working abroad, in Paris, Vancouver, Seattle, Asia, Oslo, New York and the South West of France. As well as writing about film and interviewing actors and photographers, she has written two historical novels and a collection of short stories, two of which have been shortlisted in national competitions, as well as an original screenplay and some children's picture books, the most recent one about grief. Last year, she adapted the opening chapters of one of her novels into the pilot episode of a six-part miniseries, which she is hoping to sell. She works part-time as an editorial assistant on two scientific magazines based out of Paris and is currently working on a non-fiction book exploring notions of home.
