Kosma Sakrajda

Dr. Kosma Sakrajda, MSc, PhD, is a medical biotechnologist and molecular biologist working as a researcher at the Molecular and Cell Biology Unit, Poznan University of Medical Sciences (Poznan, Poland). His work focuses on the neuroimmune response and molecular mechanisms underlying the course and pharmacological treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders. Working in an interdisciplinary research team alongside clinicians, he’s conducting translational studies focused on exploring and understanding the neuropsychopharmacology.

Kosma Sakrajda is also involved in the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP). From 2022 to 2024, Kosma was a member of Early Career Advisory Panel within ECNP. Since 2024, Kosma has been a Board Member of Early Career Academy (ECA) and Chair of Education and Outreach Interest Group.

Recently, he defended his PhD, during which he focused on the immunomodulatory role of lithium treatment in the course of bipolar disorder.
