About
Hi there, I’m Rachael, and I am a writer and novice podcaster who documents stories of true crime, the paranormal, and mental health. I have always been interested in mental health issues, and how they affect us from childhood to adulthood - it is a personal journey for myself, and writing about such topics is another great form of therapy for me. I have always been interested in the macabre, and enjoy anything spooky related! This led to me becoming editor for the UK’s leading online paranormal and horror magazine, Spooky Isles, where I focus on the Manchester and Merseyside areas.
When I’m not writing I love to run, (attempt) yoga, wander derelict graveyards, read, and go on mini adventures with my pug, Lois.

A Recipe for Nightmares: Anxiety and Avoidance Mixed with Sleep
Nightmares are a common part of our childhoods that usually subside as we reach adulthood. But if you’re like me, those nightmares may have taken ahold of you, well into your adult life. I have always been pulled towards anything spooky. As a young girl, I had my head stuck in books about ghosts. Now, as an adult and creative writer, I choose to write about distressing subjects like true crime and the paranormal.
